The Sentier du littoral is the best known and most appreciated by hikers and walkers in Argelès sur Mer. It starts from the Mas Larrieu National Nature Reserve towards the beach of l’Ouille, on the seafront. He will make you discover all the beauty of this natural heritage and will reveal exceptional panoramas.
By taking this path, you will be able to see the schist cliffs, the magnificent pebble coves but also the stairs carved into the rock. The signposts will provide you with more information about the history of these places. This walk can take you to Collioure and Port-Vendres. You are therefore free to continue your adventure to Côte Vermeille if you feel like it.
Argelès sur Mer can also boast the longest seafront in the Eastern Pyrenees. Here, you can discover nearly 10 km of coastline, including 7 km of fine sand and 2 km of cove. The Argelès waterfront promenade is the best place to admire its beauty. This trail starts at Port Argelès and leads to the pine woods, which are home to several thousand trees.
